By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.;
THE CAPE FLIGHT. CAPETOWN, Feb. 27. Later news shows the starboard engine of ‘The Times’ machine failed when the piano was taking off from the Tabora aerodrome. The aerodrome consequently crashed. The aviators were somewhat hurt, Cochroll's wrist was sprained, while Carby’s leg was bruised, but no serious damage to the men resulted. They are all sound. Both the under carriages of the plane were broken. Through this, it would be impossible to make repairs without complete dismantling, and a new undercarriage and new lower planes would be needed. Tlio tanks, the engines and the propellers'were not touched by the crash ,but the engines were in any case hopeless. They will require complete overhaul, and new cylinders. The pilots await instructions. Their continuation of the journey is now hopeless.
