(Before E. C. Levvey Esq., S.M.) Thq adjourned hearing of the Police charge against J. Tobin, (Mr Murdoch) of alleged assault on a female child was concluded, and accused was sentenced to six months hard labor. The case was heard with closed doors
Walter Scott, Stock Inspector, charged S.G. Ferguson, that on December 22nd., at Arahura with being the owner of sheep affected with lice and exposing same for sale. Convicted and fined 10/. with costs 7/-. Walter Scott, Stock Inspector, charged Maude Moynihan, that on 22ud December, at Arahura with being the owner of sheep affected with lice arid ex posing same for sale. Convicted and fined 10/- and costs 7/-; Fraser Mclntosh (Sergt. Major) charged Leslie Henry. Graham on 27th January at Hokitika, with failure to render personal service as required of hint under “The Defence Act, 1909”. Admonished and ordered to pay costs
