It has been organised and equipped by the London “Daily Telegraph.” It flew the Mediterranean 470 mile lap on Friday. The* airmen mention the arrival at Cairo on Saturday of a De 11a v bland machine, manned by two Australians, proceeding to Australia. The Australians had extraordinary adventures and escapes. They were tossed like a leaf over Mt Vesuvious, and landed at Mersametruth, at the waters edge, but managed to ascend. The machine is undergoing repairs after its unduly severe experiences. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 25 Two Milforce pilots and two mechanics are aboard the Vickers-Vimy machine which lias left London for the Cape of Good Hope. The start was purposely delayed to enable three eatlior aeroplanes to compete in the race. The official machine is making the flight solely for the purpose of reporting on the conditions of the route ,and the possibility of an improvement in the African air service. The Handley-Page machine flying to the Cape has reached Assoum. A Vickers-Vimy machine has arrived at Kisump, in British East Africa. CAPETOWN, Feb. 26.
