ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. (By Telagraph.—Special to Cuardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Mossrs Matson and Co. report as fob lows regarding their stock sole yesterday : There was a heavy yarding, with no outstanding quality. Freezing buyers were operating strongly, especially on cow beef. All good steer beef was slightly firmer, and generally above freezing limits. Prime steers bought £2l to £26 lGs; medium £lB 10s to £2O; lighter and unfinished £ls to £l7 10; cows and heifers £ll to £l3 10s, and up to £l7 for extra heavy.
Store Cattle.—There was a smaller yarding ,and demand generally was good, especially for forward cows; one line of good 3J year steers brought £ls 12s 6d; 2 year steers £7 to £8; mix ed sexes, yearlings, good sorts, £5 5s to £6 15s; good forward cows £6 10s to £9 10s; bulls £ll to £lB ss, and were in keen demand.
Fat sheep.—There was a good yarding, including very mixed quality; the market was firm all round. Best wethers brought 45s 6d to 50s; prime 36s to 4ls lighter 31s Gd to 355; ewes to 40s 6d; prime 31s to 38s 6d; lighter 25s Cd to 39s 6d.
In lambs ,also small, well shore sheep there was the largest entry this season. The market was firmer for fresh and good conditioned sheep. Other sorts were the same as last week. Best rape lambs up to 23s Gd; medium 17s Gd to 225; others 14s Gd'to 1/s; best young ewes from 30s to 32s Gd; medium from 24s to 27s Gd; best wethers from 28s to 31s; others 23s to 26s Gd.
