It is the greatest and most artistic feature sent to the country for a long tinie; in Australia it created a furore, that was second only to its success in America. The glow of romance that surrounds the magic name of Gaby Deslys lends an interest to the picture additional to the natural charm and beauty of the star. Everyone wants to see for themselves the wiles, the luxurious gowns, the beauty of the girl who is reputed to have been the cause of a monarch’s downfall, and no one will be disappointed. To see her is to believe and understand the wonderful attraction that has made her climb up the ladder of fame phenomenal. The story is an interesting phase of stage life in the proper atmosphere, scenes from a musical comedy on a scale of lavishness were performed. You see Gaby Deslys in many phases of her own life, and associated with her in the east are many famous names which have also been associated with her success on the stage. Her dancing partner, Harry Piled*, is one of the principals, others being At. Sigsoret and Naxudian, both famous on the French stage to-day.
