LENIN WANTS PEACE WITH ALL,

The correspondent of a New York newspaper in Berlin sent by wireless a series of questions to Lenin, who wirelessed a reply as follows:—‘‘The Russian Soviet is not planning any military., offensive at all against Roumania, Poland, or any other country. The Soviet wishes to live in harmony with the whole world. Our plans in regard to Asia are the same as those concerning Europe; namely,' we desire a peaceful neighbourly life with all peoples. In future, we shall see the Soviet system in vogue all over the world, but Russia does not intend to bring this about through force. The chances of qny ecpnomip alliance between Germany and Russia are not good, because, the mails are bad allies. Russia doesn’t fear any counter revolution from within-
IN CAUCASUS REGION, (Received this day at 8 a.pi.) LONDON, February lfl. The War Office in a communique states the Bolsheviks delivered a general attack on Lake ManitduSeaagpy front with repeated vigorous attack:* between Lake Maqifich, Tsapifsig anti iEkatrinodar railway. They have pot made any appreciable progress, but westward of the railway they forced their way across Lake Maniteh occupying some miles of the line southward of the river. The Reds were attempting to force Lake Maniteh against the Don Army, between Lake Mechetua and the confluence of the river Do n and Lake Manitcli. The attack failed, with heavy losses. The Ice broke and the retreating column was engulfed. .The Cocasks at some points crossed on the heels of the Bolsheviks, and pursued them for some miles, heavy losses. A particularly violent Red attack was made against the Don Army southeast of Rostoff. After a heavy all-day long fighting the volunteers cleared the entire south hank ,except at one point. They took thousands of prisoners.
