A RACE MEETING. AUCKLAND, February 20

Following upon a communication from the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Auckland Racing Club has decided to hold a one day race meeting ,bn. April 19th, on the occasion of the visit of the Prince of Wales. The programme will comprise six events, and the stakes will total £4OOO. The Prince of Wales Cup of II miles will be worth £I3OO, and the Royal Steeplechase will be worth £6OO.

REMEMBERING THE CHILDREN. FEILDING, February 20.

A representative meeting in Feilding decided that Feilding and district local bodies should present a loyal address, conjointly, to the Prince of Wales, when passing "through Feilding, tHe day to be declared a public holiday for tlie children who are to be provided with refreshments and a sports gathering if possible.
