THE FAMOUS “DIGGERS.”
The •“Diggers” closed tlieir. all too brief season! here laist night, again being accorded a fine attendance. Hokitika must have turned out in force last night for both place* of entertainment were very full. The ( Company gave a change of programme ,built up op the lines of the previous effort. Those who heard the company for the second time liked last night’s entertainment even better than the first, which is saying a great deal. All the members of the Company were in touch with the audience, and helped by the splendid orchestra, the whole entertainment wont with a spiendid swing. There were numerous recalls and the demands were met very liberally. Before the final curtain, Mr Foma | thanked one and all for their patlonage and the town for its hospitality. : Tho Company Iliad enjoyed its stay immensely. The “Diggers” went north , to-day.
