The animal then ate it. A meeting of Melbourne returned soldiers passed a resolution expressing utter disgust and disapproval at the spending of large sums of money upon entertaining the Prince of Wales. The meeting resolved that this money could be better expended in relieving the urgent need of many returned soldiers and their families now in want.
