At the meeting of the Hokitika Borough Council last evening, the Councillors present made pointed remarks in respect to the apathy of the Public
Works Committee regarding attention to its duties. Its inertness in reference to one or two special matters was commented upon, but in the absence o'i Mr Blank, the Chairman of the Committee, a resolution was not arrived at. The desire expressed was that this Committee should meet at regular intervals whether any special business was referred to it by the Council or not.
