A MAORI’S DEATH. AUCKLAND, This Roy. Xi is reported from Kaitaia that Wei Homi aged twenty-five, was foam dead by the police. Tie was reported missing since last Saturday when -t alleged that he was struck on the head by another Maori during a quarrel. Inquiries by Constable Callwell at Ka.tnia resulted in- the finding of the body on Wednesday, twenty chains from the ! scene of the quarrel, in a drain in fifteen inches of water. The local po- * lice are searching for the other Maori, 1 whose name is unknown.
