BRITISH IMPORTS. LONDON, Feb. 10
The imports during January were worth £198,498,383 and the exports £105,879,909, the increases having been £48,951,952 and £59,536,728 compared with January of 1919. Manufactured articles exported last January were worth £83,086,000 compared with £40,202,000 in January of 1919. The principal increases were in cotton and woollen goods.
Germany re-appears as both an exporter and an importer. She is sending a quantity of wjjie in exchange for manufactured goods and raw materials.
STATISTICAL CONFERENCE.
LONDON, February 10.
The Imperial. Statistical Conference has completed work on the collection and co-ordination of data relating to agriculture, forests, crop forecasts fisheries, land tenure and irrigation. A quinquennial agricultural census scheme has also been completed for the formation of an Imperial Statistics Bureal, and it is thoroughly representative of all parts of the Empire. A Committee on the census of the population of the Empire is sitting under the chairmanship of Mr Knibbs, the Statistician of 'Australia.

The Bulgarian Government ha§ recalled all officers on the retired list, ostensibly to officer the new gendarmerie regiments and fill other quasimilitary offices. Athenian newspapers regard the action as a breacH of the Treaty.
