The Allied list charges the Crown Prince with ordering the burning of every French village where a French soldier was found; also the massacre at Etlie and pillage and deporting of inhabitants and systematic devastation.His brothers Eitei and August are accused of looting. Hindenburg and Lu_ dendorff are charged as crijnins|ls ? for deporting and carrying off womep apd girls and the systematic destruction of property. Prince Rupprocht is accused of shooting British prisoners. General Stenger is charged with issuing an order in August IRI4, for all prisoners t to be massacred. The “Debats” insists that there must be no modification of the treaty without a corresponding compensation from Germany.
PROPOSED ATTITUDE. (Received This Day at 8 a.m.) BERLIN, February 9. A meeting of army officers passed a resolution asking for instructions that war criminals appearing before Allied tribunals should wear mufti, and will have no distinction, they should gay in German—“As a German soldier I canhot acknowledge you, therefore I refuse to reply to any further questions.”
