Influenza notifications in Wellington district for the past week totalled 910, compared with 493 for the preceding week. There were 34 new cases diagnosed as pneumonic, and 10 as severe. As the week progressed however, the daily notification has fallen off from 17(1 on February 2nd to eight yesterday.
