AMERICAN BLIZZARD. NEW YORK, Feb. 6,
Transportation is completely tied up owing to a blizzard. It has been raging for two days. The telephone service in New York has practically collapsed.
Thousands of suburban residents are unable to leave their homes .
The seas are sweeping over the local seaside resorts.
Millions of dollars worth of damage have been done.
Many summer homes and bungalows have even been swept out to sen. The shipping is all tied up in ice.

The old Dominion liner “Princess Annie” lias been driven by the blizzard, ashore at Rockaway and she is in a precarious position. There are 104 people aboard.
RESCUING PASSENGERS. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) NEW YORK, February 7
Thirty two passengers and twentyeight off the cjrew of the stranded steamer Princess Anne, were taken off in police boats. Forty four of the crew were left on 'board. The rescuers fought ice and heavy seas for hours. The woO'ie" moderating and tugs arc trying to pull off the vessel.
