The Council did not favour action in regard to arranging tor a suitable buildin*' to which to bold various functions, leaving that matter entirely in tlm bands of the citizens. WELLINGTON, Feb. 0. It is proposed that the Native people of New Zealand give a special welcome to the Prince of Wales at Rptorua when be comes, like that given to King George. All tribes and heads are being communicated with. LONDON, Feb. 4. The Prince of Wales has accepted tho Vice-Presidency of the Victoria League.
