presiding, The miputes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, and outward correspondence was approved, INWARD CORRESPONDENCE.
Several farmers of Waitaha wrote asking for a reduction of motor lorry freight to that district. It was resolved to reduce the freight from Ross to Waitaha from 30/- to 25/- per ton. It was resolved to place a standing order for benzine. The question of Hiring the uioto: lorry to a local carrier „ was left in the hands of the Managing Director, Mr Thompson and jtlie Secretary with
power to act. The Managing Director reported on the progress of development work and anticipated the completion of I'Urhipe, Cpusher and Pulveriser within five wgcks. 'Jo complete this work in that time it would he necessary to cease burning lime for a few weeks. It wais resolved to burn one kiln of limy* (about (|0 tops) to meet any urgent orders and then cease burning till completion 0 f new works. The Secretary presented the financial statement and reported the hank account had been removed from Greymouth to If°l>itika for the convenience, of working.— -Rspptf Vpegjve.fi and adopted. it was to notify all shareholders in arrears (lie iinmut|ls mpst be paid promptly in view of the heavy expenses to be met in the near future.
Mr Upjohn wrote tendering his resignation as Manager of the Lime kiln, The resignation was accepted and a vote of appreciation recorded in favour of Mr Upjohn for his past services. • it was decided to advertise for a Manager .salary to start at £5 per \v<?o>k. - "V* -rr—X T'
