The directors Recommend placing £75,000 to reserve fund, and £20,000 to staff provident fund ,also payment of a dividend at the rate of 8d per share absorbing £50,000, making a shilling and two pence for the year, leaving £76,571 to be carried forward.
DONATIONS TO UNIVERSITY. DUNEDIN, This Day. At the reception of delegates yesterday afternoon, in connection with the Otago University Jutiilee celebrations, the Chancellor‘(Dr. Cameron) announced that the vice-chancellor (Mr John Roberts, C.M.G.) had indicated that he intended giving £IOOO to Otago University for scholarships, and Sir Robert and Lady Stout were each giving £SO tor the same purpose.
