In referring to the Dominions, he said that liis modest public services in recent Years had brought him into touch uith the splendid character and public devo. tiou of his fellow subjects throughout the Empire.
The Prince continued: “We may all be proud to lie British subjects, i am intensely proud, to be a British, subject, particularly now that I have started travelling round the Empire and seeing something of the Dominions for myself. Anyone who lias been in Canada can- [’ not help being proud of being British. I think I shall find the same thing in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa; and I am confident that there is no better example of public spirit and patriotism I can have to follow for the rest of my jife than the exaniplii of my fellow-countrymen.” The Prince of Wales, accompanied by Lord Stamfordham, private secretary to the King, called on Air Lloyd George and discussed for ninety minutes the plans connected with liis Australian tour.
ADMIRAL iHALSEY TO CO AIM AND. (LONDON, Jan. 27 The Prince of Wales has instructed Admiral Halsey to hoist his tiag on the warship Renown on the Ist of February as Chief of Staff for his Australasian tour.
