POLLARD’S PICTURED
WEDNESDAY
Picture patrons will have an opportunity on Wednesday of seeing the first picture since the return to the screen of Lovely Lillian Walker in “The Lust of the Ages,” a seven part Ogden Feature. What greater theme could be selected than that of Lust for Gold ? Its yellow lustre has gilded over millions of hearts. The crushing hand of Mammon has stifled the sense of proportion between Thrift and Virtue, and' Lust and Avarice, through many ages. This young girl sees that money cannot buy happiness, and that the real joys of life are in simple things. She writes a story of other days and depicts the world-woe Mammon has caused. The man reads—lives the episodes of the past, and awakens to a sense of the battle, destruction, and Lust that follow' in the train of gold. The gilded wall of wealth between them falls asunder and, like a Phoenix, rises the true affection that is greater than riches The second chapter of the Lightning Raiders will also be shown.
