An aggregate vote of the various branches of the Marine Engineers’ Association has given a majority of 49 against the acceptance of the proposed settlement terms. It is stated the engineers are determined to secure their full claims. Mleantimfe ships remain idle, and the position of inter-State shipping is worse.
