DETONATOR CAUSES INJURY

This forenoon a young lad, James McDonald, son of Mr and Mrs James McDonald of Fitzherbert Street, was handling a detonator, which he had found with some others, in an old house on Cemetery Hill, when the detonator exploded, with the result that the lad received injury to both hands which were badly damaged by the shock. The boy was at once taken to Westland Hospital where his injuries are being attended to. The actual damage done is not yet ascertainable,
