POLLARD 5 * PICTURES.
At the Princess Theatre on Wednesday next Pollards’ present a big doublo Bill including , a Thos. H. Ince masterpiece featuring William S .Hart, supported by Jack Standing, Robert McKim, Clara Williams, Louise Glaum, in the tale of a tough town entitled “Hell’s Hinges.” The rough and ready religion of a two-gun man is a gun-fight-ing, man-killing, devil’s den of iniquity, that scorched oven the sun-parched sand on which it grew. When evil looked for the first time on that which was good. “If you’re looking for the parson you’ll find him in Silk’s saloon, drunk.” The desperate flight into the desert, while evil and hate joined hands in red revel. His race for her honour, and what it brought. “When the door opens—fire/” Hell’s Hinges has done itself proud to-night, and it going to he rewarded, I’m shooting straight, and I’m plum willin’ to kill.” The terrible toll of vengeance he took from the whole town. Wonderful fire scenes—a whole town burned. The prayer of the rough, strong man:—“God, I ain’t knowin’ you very well, but I’m askin you a favour—let her lie happy.” The second big feature in Wednesday’s display is the first episode of the greatest of all serials “The Lightning Raiders” starring Pearl White, the scieen of serials, ° also Westland Picture showing the Hokitika School.
