Mr J. D. Gillies, Resident Engineer, will visit Hokitika to-morrow forenoon and along with the members of the Public Works Committee of the County Council will inspect the late flood damage at the Araliura. The death of a old pioneer miner, Mr Phillipo Canobbie, took place yesterday afternoon at Kumara Old People’s Home. Deceased had been on the West Coast for many years. Ho was 82 years of age.
