NEW ZEALAND BOWLING. TOURNAMENT. SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 16. The Dominion Bowling Tournament, advanced another stage to-day, when the first six rounds of the Singles Coinpetition were played in favourable weather condition.?. Tlip rink competition will be resumed to-morrow.

The programme for Monday lias not yet been decided upon but probably tlie singles and rink competitions will be continued. The singles were plashed to-day oil the two life system, by which a player must bo beaten twice before being finally eliminated from the competition. Those remaining in tlie various Sections are:

Election A- (2 lives).—Kirk, Tabaka; one life—-Allmitt, Christchurch; Edwards, Lyall Bay. Section 15. (2 lives). —Woller, Rcmuera; Stephenson, St. Johns; one life—Griffen, Waitai; Sharp, Stratford. Section C. (2 lives),— Harray.way, Dunedin; one life—Carswell, Taieri; Wylie, Kniapoi. Section D. (one life), —Fookes, Carlton; Spiller, Remucra ; Sinclair, Lyttcltop; Section E. (2 lives)—Henderson, Lyttelton; one life—Grange., Canterbury; Hutchison North-east Valley.

Section F. (2 lives,).—Foster, Groen Island; one life.—Dee, Matai. i C. Fountain (Wellington) and Amti maim (St .Clair), mutually decided not to conclude their game in the sixth ■ round on account of tlie state of the 1 green.
