LATE LOCALS.

Wo regret, to record the dentil, which took place at noon to-day at Wellington of Mr A, W. Varrall. The deceased lor many years was a well-known resident of Greyinouih where he carried on an extensive saddlery business, and later he opened a branch at Hokitika which his sen is non - carrying on. He took a prominent part in various sporting bodies including the Greymouth Trotting and Racing, and Bowling Clubs, and was generally esteemed. Some years ago be removed to Wellington where he has resided quietly. Ho had been ill for some time past, and his end was not unexpected. A widow, two daughters and one son (Air A. W. Yarrall of Hokitika) are left to mourn the passing of an estimable parent and highly esteemed citizen.
