DOMINION COUNCIL. CHRISTCHURCH, January 11. At a meeting of the Dominion Bowling Council last night, an important alteration in the methods of representation on the Council was decided upon. Mr F. Barnett moved that each Island should elect six members instead of five, and this, with the addition proposed by Col Collins “that no centre /should have moro than two elected members,” was carried. It was made quite clear that if the small centres did not nominate their representatives it would then be legal for the larger centres to fill the vacancies, and in this case only would it be permissable for a centre to have three representatives. Hie North Island members of the Council expressed great pleasure ab the carrying, of the amalgamated motion, as the small North Island centres are very keen to have an opportunity ofbeing represented on the Dominion Council.
