Tea is .cheaper here than in Wellington, where, it is reported, nothing is lieing sold, under the wholesale price of 3s 6d per lb., whereas in Christchurch the price lias been from 2s 9d to 3s. New shipments to arrive will, however, sell at 3s upwards, and it is predicted that best qualities of packet teas may yet be retailed at os.
