The seventh annual tournament now in progress will continue the doubles to-day (Saturday). The champion double competition, is being played on the sectional system, each player being guaranteed five games. At the end of the 'sectional play sectional ties will be ’played off. If there are only two tics 21 heads will be played, but if there are more than two only 12 heads will be played. The .champion rinks competition will commence at 9 a.m. on Monday next, and will be played on the sectional system. Three games of 21 heads are to bo played each day. After nine games have been played those who continue to play will be the section winners. After the leonelusion of the section iflav (lie full two-life principle will he applied to all teams left in the competition. Each team when twice beaten will drop out of the competition. The champion singles will he commenced on Friday, .January Kith at 9 a.m. and will he played on the two-life system, and each player, when he has been beaten twice will drop out of the competition.

PAIRS PLAY. By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian Yesterday the pairs competition was |t-oiit.i|iiued:. Stevenson and Thompson secured two wins (including the defeat of the section winner). Stewart and Boyd secured one win and one loss. All played, good games. The weather continues splendid.
