WEDDING BELLS.

A pretty wedding was celebrated at All Saints Church, Hokitika, which was crowded for the happy occasion, on Wednesday, December 17th, by Hoc. Dr Hpllowav, when Miss Helen Beatrice Mackav, daughter ,uf My and Mrs \\. D. Mackav, of Rolleston street, Hokitika, was united to Major Kenneth. Sholtp Caldwell, R.S., Sixth Reinforcements, third son of Mr R. Caldwell, of JCgrori, Wellington. The bride, who was given away by her father, made a charming picture. She wore an ivory white broehe and georgette gown, and embroidered tulle veil, with orange blossoms, apd carried a shower bouquet df roses and Canterbury bells. The bridesmaids were Miss Janet Hare, wbo wore a pretty dress of heliotrope and pink, and Miss Tui Caldwell (sister ' of the bridegroom) who wore a pretty primrose frock, both wearing picture hats and bouquets to match their dresses, Mr Athol Caldwell attended his brother us best map. When the happy couple left the church the Wedding March was played by Miss Davies, and they were showered with rose-leaves and confetti as they made their tvay to their motor. Subsequently, at the residence of the patents of the bride, a reception was held, where the usual toasts were honoured. The happy couple, who were the recipients of many handsome presents and substantial cheques, and numerous messages of goodwill, spent their .honeymoon at the South Westland glacier.
