CHRISTCHURCH, Jan 6. At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union .the recommendations of the Australasian Football Conference were considered and it was decided to support the establishment of an International Board of Control and to agree to the appointment of Mr W. W. Hill, of Sydney, as Central Secretary. The alterations proposed to the laws of tliei game were not approved, this course being taken in order that the matter might be held in obeyance, pending the formation of an International Board of Control. It was decided to urge the New Zealand Union to invite South Africa to send a team to tour the Dominion this year .
