WESTPORT TOURNEY. WESTPORT, Dec. 26. At the Westport Boxing Association’s tourney this morning, > Jack Griffon (9 stone 9 pounds, of Greymouth, defeated “Young” Murphy (9.7,) of Millerton, in a professional match of 15 rounds for a purpose qf £SO, Murphy was nearly outed in the first round. He had several precarious moments in some of the other rounds. Ho finally succumbed in the ninth round. A six round amateur liout between Boyd (Denniston) and Geddes (Millerton,) was won by Boyd, on points, after a clean and clever exhibition of boxing.
