Jeffries and Co. held their summer sale of store stock,, the yarding being a- recoi'.d one, 436 head of cattle being penned, also 22Q sheep. Competition was very irregular for cattle and only good sorts were in demand all of which were sold at prices very little below the rates ruling at late sales. . r plie following lines were sold. Sheep : On account Ferguson Bros. 110 hogget wethers etc. 27/-. On account Wm. Berry, 7.0 ditto, at. ,25/9. On account (j. Rossenbeck 1 .gelding at £l7/10/-. Cattle: On account P. Hansen 11 yearling steers at £4/5/-, 9 yearling heifers at £4/5/-, 4 cows at £6/5/-. On account J. McLean, 1 S.H, Bull, 26 guineas, 6 cows at £5. - On account M, Wall 7 steers at £l4, 4 heifers at £l4, and 2 cows at £l4. On account A. Wall, 5 cows at £l4. On account F. Haddock 1. cow at £lO/5/-.
