THE LOST AVIATORS. (United Service Telegrams). LONDON, Dec-. 16. Howell’s aeroplane was found half a mile from the shore in five, fathoms of water. The log shows the party flew for eight hours and evidently lost its wav. The petrol was sufficient for eight hours flight. THE MISSIN AVIATORS. [LONDON TIMES SERVICE—COPYRTGTIT' LONDON, Dec. 16. An Air Ministry communique states that the Martinsyde machine fell into the sea at eight (o’clock' on the 9th. An Italian motor boat and a fisherman arrived too late to save the aviators. The bodies are not yet recovered. The machine was salvable. The log shows a tragic search was made for direction by circular flying in the mists. The machine twice crossed the land unknowingly.
