FEDERAL ELECTOINS.
(By Electric Telegraph— Co oyright., later figures. The 1 + ♦ SYDNEY, Dec. 15. Ihe latest summary of the election returns shcr® that 23 Nationalists are elected, ten are in leading positions, three Farmers elected and five leading. Fourteen Labour men are elected, and twenty hold leading positions. Mr Poynton has secured a slight majority over the Labour candidate, and his return is regarded as almost oertain. There seems little chance of Hon. Mr Webster (Postmaster-eneral (N.S.W.) and Senator Russell (Victoria) recovering their seats.
LATEST RESULTS. (Received this day at 11.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The latest election returns for the Fcdjeral House show:— Nationalists 31 Labour 22 F armers 3 Doubtful, 19; probably resulting in nine National, five Labour and five Farmers. For the referendum, “No” is still leading, except in Victoria and Queensland, where “ Yes ” is leading on. both questions, and West Australia, where “ Yes ” is leading on Monopolies. The Senate voting now shows a possibility of the whole leading vacancies being filled by Nationalists.
