AUBTKAI,IAN & N.Z. OABUB ABBOOIAHOJ*] A 'BAD LANDING. LONDON, December 43. It is reported that Wilkins’ Kangaroo had a bad landing at Suda Bay but nono were injured. A fresh start may be considerably delayed. THE AIR FORCE LONDON, Deeembor 13.
‘General Tronchard, chief of the Air Staff in a memorandum, outlines the future of the Royal Air Force and Hon. W. Churchill states Cabinet has approved of the proposals in the principal expenditure on the force in the next few years, provisionally fixed at fifteen milliolns yearly. The scheme j divides the force into three sections namely, independent force, naval, and military. Eventually it will •consist of twenty-eight squadrons, eight in India, three in Mesopotamia, seven in Egypt, four for home service, and seven with the fleet. The air force reserve will be created on a territorial .basis. The airship fleet for the .prosont will not exceed one rigid, and two non-rigid craft.
