WESTLAND MINERS’ ASSOCIATION.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Westland Miners’ Association w T as hold in the Literary Institute, Rimu, on Wednesday', December 3rd. Present — Messrs H. A. Baucke (chair), W. Smith, Geo. Willetts, R. Knight, and J. Knowles. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, and the outward correspondence approved. Mr 11. A- Baucke moved: “ That Mr T. E. Y. Seddon’s letter of 9th October, held over from last meeting, be received with regret.”—Seconded by Mr J. Knowles. (Pro forma.) Mr Geo. Willetts moved as an amendment: “That the words ‘with TOgret’ bo struck out.”— Seconded by Mr R. Knight. On a division, the amendment was carried. A letter from the Mines Department was received with thanks. The meeting then terminated .
