ARAHURA STORE CATTLE SALE. Messrs M. Houston and Co. report:— We held a spring sale of store cattle at Arahura yards on Wednesday, tlierp being a fair attendance of buyers. There was a very large yarding and the bulk of which was cleared at satisfactory prices. Indifferent sorts and old cows were difficult to sell, but good conditioned lines met with a ready sale. We sold 11 yearlings at £3 12s fid for Messrs Muir Bros; 8 3-year steers at £lO, 2 2-ycar steers at £5, 1 cow a* £5 for a client; 8 15-montlis steers it £4 i!2s Gd, 6 2-year steers at !£G 10s, 2 empty cows at £0 3 S > lat £4, 1; at £5 15s for Mr D. Bradley; 5 2-year heifers at £5 17s Gd, 7 yearling steers at £4 15s, 5 heifers at £4 7s 6d for Mr Poison; 5 12-months steers at £4, 4 heifers at £3 10s for Mr J. Havill; 9 15-months steers at £4 18s Gd, for Mr A. Bradley; 5 mixed yearlings at £3 15) 1 aged cow at £3 for Mr R. Bradley; 2 cows and calves at £3 17s, 2 cows at £4 ss, 1 at £4 2s Gd for Mr J. McGuigan, 5 24 year steers at £6 17s 6d for Mr W. Pritchard.
