A gang of us are working oh the north side of the town, and the stench is that great that we are writing to the Minister of Health to provide us with ga s helmets. I don’t think the gases on the wtestern front could be more obnoxious than the overpowering cloud of scent that comes to us from the beach location. Incidentally we have abattoirs and two hospitals adjacent, which get their share of effluvia. I can’t say that if it affects the butchers’ meat, but personally I don’t see why the authorities should try to season the butcher’s products gratis. Thanking you for your space.
