The Australian Press Association interviewedl Barry, who has decided to reject Mr Mclntosh’s offer to pay for both Barry and Felton their first class fares to Australia and also £IOOO for a match on the Parramatta, the winner to receive £750, and the winner to row Paddon within two months.
Barry says he will be in Australia definitely to row Felton for a stake of £IOO, and lie is prepared afterwards to row Paddon on the Parramatta. He lias beaten him before, and was certain lie could beat him again.
Felton has not, as reported,, received a challenge from Durnan, the Canadian and Felton adheres to his offer first to meet Barry.
