WESTLAND SEAT

j Mr T. E. Y. Seddon addressed tile I Paroa-Camerons electors at Gladstone lon Friday night. There was a very good attendance, alUl the meeting was a very favourable one. A large number of questions were asked and answered • satisfactorily. On Saturday, Mr Seddon visited Kumara Junction, and at night had a splendid meeting at the Town Hall, Kumara, when the Mayor (Mr R. McGlone) presided. Mr Seddon gave a spirited i address before a very large audience, and the meeting was carried through with marked enthusiasm. Kumara is Mr Seddon’s native town, and the assemblage displayed a very hearty interest in his candidature. After question time, which was full of interest and entertainment for the audience, Mr TV. Bcnvon proposed and Mr W. 11. Batson (as an old soldier) seconded a. very cordial vote of thanks, which was carried amid groat cheering. Yesterday Mr Seddon visited North Teremakaii Settlement in the early part of the day, and later drove out the' Christchurch road, meeting the settlers ( at different points. He returned to j Kumara in the evening, ahdis to-day j visiting Dillmanstown and district, and j will afterwards speak to-night at Golds-1 borough and Stafford. Mr Seddon will reach Hokitika late to-night. j
