The 'German revelations have caused disquietudp in the Commons. The '“Times” lobbyist states those possessing first hand information state the picture is not overdrawn. One Commoner states that whilst journeying through Eastern German Provinces recently, he wag astonished to discover an army of twenty-five thousand stationed in the eastern marshes. The “Daily News” commenting on the “Times” disclosures asks what policy will the Allies adopt to prevent • a grave upheaval. General Maurice writes that those who best know what is going on anticipate a reactionary rising in Prussia at any time, but it will be the signal for a red rising in South Germany. The latter is the greater peril, calling for instant, resolute allied action.
