CORRESPONDENCE.
A PROTEST. (To the Editor.) Sir, —As one of tlie many that attended the “Togos” at tlie Princess Theatre last evening, I wish to protest at tlie manner in which a certain section pf tlie audience were allowed to continually interrupt, the performance. Such ito.ms as “Il’Trovotore,” “The Rosary” and other gems were marred by the continued whistling and other interruptions. One of the artists wlio has appeared in almost all parts of the \vorld, stated this morning that in q(! their ;experience they have noyq.r heard the like until they appeared in Hokitika Surely the police can take a hand in the matter. The police, Oh where B’p they 2 Echo answers where!
I am etc., RUBATO
