IN MEMORIAM.

BEAMS.—In loving memory of Amel Emmerline Beams, who died in Westland Hospital, Hokitika, on November 19th, 1918. Days of sadness oft come o’er us, Hidden secret tears will flow; But memory keeps our Toyed one near us Though she died a year ago. We who loved her sadly miss her, As it dawns another year. In the lonely hours of thinking, Thoughts of her are ever dear. Though your death was sad mother dear And you bore your pain so brave, We have been so sad and lonely Since we laid you in your grave. Worthy of everlasting love was she, From those she left behind; A better mother ne’er could be, Nor one so true and kind. We never shall forget you, The one we loved so well. God alone knows how we miss you, Words can, never tell. (Inserted by her loving husband, sons and daughters.—R. Beams and family, Ruatapu.
