i THE ROYAL TOGOS. TO-NIGHT 1 TO-NIGHT 1 ! Louis Alsace and liis marvellous Japanese Vaudeville Company, by special arrangement with Tom Pollard commence- theii season of two nights at the ■ Princess Theatre, this (Tuesday) . ’ ovening, November the' 18th. Of this j talented Company “The Southland 1 Times” says:—The outstanding feature of the entertainment is the juggling and balancing of the Togos. Quite il remarkble achievement is that of U Togo, who juggles six sticks at the same time. The sticks are about two feet in length, and are kept revolving in the air simultaneously, and although they are kept moving by hiq hands, it looks to the observer as if they are actually suspended in the air by an unseen wire, so fast and evenly do they spin. He has also a remarkable balancing act with a glass, of water on a small tray supported by sticks from the j chip! Then follows a sensational tight I rope walk from the level of the stage to the roof above the dress circle. Tips is performed by the ofherr brother, G. Togo, with a sunshade as his only sup- j port. Louis Alsace, the wizard of the j violin, provide classic gems and excerpts from grand op,era on the violin, j ’cello and Alsacephone. Miss L'alla Knight is a lyric soprano with a fine voice. Doreen Dore the personality young lady, is New Zealand’s greatest dancer, and lias concluded a successful tour under Fuller’s circuit. These artists depart shortly for America and Europe, and this is their farewell to New Zealand. Wendy Dale and Alphonse are two ciever musical, people whose dressy act has been much appreciated throughout their tour of New Zealand. Their act is full of bright humour. ’Miss Dale is described as the “cutest dresser in vaudeville.” Her. frocks are the last word in stage dressing. Her quick changes are remarkable, and must be seen to be believed. > Miss 0. How the husband realises the unworthiness of the. studio Vamp., an o-oos hack to his. wife forms a wonderful story.
