The Canterbury Jockey Club’s Metropolitan Meeting was concluded to-day. ■The weather at the opening was dull and warm. After the first race, rain eased off, but came on again before the Stead Memorial' Stakes, and- the remain der of the afternoon was unpleasant. The totalisator handled- making £259,9791 for the meeting, against £133,702 at last year’s three days.
The results are as follows: 5 SUBURBAN HURDLES.—Sonnino •I, San Sebastian 2, Austin 3. Won by five lengths. Time 3.1 4-5.
GRESSY WELTER.—Bonnetter 1, Motuihi- 2, Bon Spec 3. Won by two •lengths. Time 1.12'2-5.
