A HERESY HUNT. WANGANUI, November lb. As the outcome of a controversy regarding pre-milljenial doctrines, Rev. B. Hudson to-night announced that he had written to the Cleuk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, asking that he might be allowed to bring on a charge against the Rev. Isaac Jolly, of having teachings in his booklet contrary and inconsistent with th© doctrine of the inspiration of the Scripture, held by the Presbyterian Church.
RAILWAY FATALITY. FEILDING, November 13. A shocking railway fatality occurred here this afternoon. A man, whose name is at present unknown, attempted to board a moving train, about 5 o’clock. He fell between the carriage and the platform and was killed almost instantly, the body being fearfully mangled. MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE. WELLINGTON, November 13. Following on the verdict given at the inquest on Mabel Black, wife of Detective Black, Benet Barker Williams driver of the motor car which collided with deceased, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court to-day with manslaughter and was remanded.
