POLLARD’S PICTURES.
On next Monday evening, at the Princess Theatre, Pollard’s present the Select Picture’ screen version of Fanny Hurst’s popular novel, “ Golden Fleece,” under the title of “ Her Great Chance.” Alice Brady and David Powell, two popular and talented stars, appears in a novel and well-execute.l story that is an artistic anl convincing achievement. The magnetism of Alice Brady’s charm is very apparent in this picture, as in the character of the s {Triple shop girl she has no opportunity to dress lavishly. In the plainest of gowns she retains the admiration and interest just as surely as in her more luxurious productions. Her role calls for versatility and delicate handling, and she never for a moment lets the interest flag. David l'owcil gives worthy support as a millionaire’s spendthrift son, and his characterisation of the part repels as well as attracts, leaves nothing to be desired. The production is admirably presented and the photoplay is much above the average. “Jones Keeps House” (a Vita, comedy), Castles of England,” and a Pathe Gazette, are also to screened on Monday evening.
