LATE LOCALS.
Messrs McGruer and Co. drapers distribute an interesting special price inset with this issue. A concert party visited the Westland Hospital last evening and treated the patients and staff to a couple of hours music and merriment—Misses Hatch, Ward, Lewis, Lloyd Reynolds and Giese and Messrs Bush, Lawn, Shand and Dowell compried a very effective party and kept things going merrily. Messrs Bannister, had decorated the ward very effectively. Mr G Davidson returned thanks very heartily on behalf of the Hospital Board. This week’s tournament in St. Mary’s Club Rooms was again well attended. The ladies Ist prize, (a set of jugs), went to Mrs G .Lakin and the second (eggs), to Miss Daisy Foote. Mrs AM. Travers secured the gent’s Ist, (a load of firewod), and Mr M. Hanrahan the 2nd, (a smoker’s outfit). After sup per had been served dancing was indulged in until mid-night. Miss Ethel H.eenan kindly, supplied the music.
