D’Annunzio has: asked the Italian Government to declare the necessity of submitting the entire Fiume question to the Paris conference, the inhabitants of Fiume to be permitted to plead their own cause before the Conference, without the Italian Government taking pare in the discussion. D’Annunzio adds that finding himself face to face with the Allies he was prepared to meet war with war from whatever direction. M. Orlando, at Palermo, affirmed that boh England and France supported Italy throughout, and adds that Italy ?a_nnot break with th e Paris Conference, nor yield her legitimate demands.
